Our Journey
From a Cozy Rooftop to Indiranagar
Curl Up and Dye began as a simple, heartfelt mission in the mind of our founder, Isha.
2019 (Koramangala)
After saving up every bit of income, Isha opened a cute, cozy rooftop studio in Koramangala. Over three years, this space became a sanctuary for natural hair education, learning, and community building.
2022 – Present (Indiranagar)
Taking a leap of faith, we expanded our team and moved into our flagship studio in Indiranagar.
Today, as our family of stylists grows, every single team member is trained to carry forward the exact same gentle care, honesty, and warmth that started it all.
2018 (The Beginning)
Isha started as a freelance hair artist, providing house calls and welcoming clients into her parents' home with little more than a vision to do right by people.

“I wanted to help people look and feel beautiful in a way that is true to themselves.”
Although Isha originally trained as an engineer, her deep empathy for people and passion for natural beauty led her to pivot into professional hairdressing. Bootstrapped entirely from the ground up, Curl Up and Dye was born out of her own personal journey growing up with curly hair in India.
When Isha first began studying natural hair, almost all available resources, techniques, and product guides were tailored for African hair textures—failing to address the unique climate, humidity, and hair density of Indian hair types.
Curious and relentless, Isha experimented, researched, and developed customized routines and care processes designed specifically for Indian weather and hair conditions.
Today, Isha personally trains every stylist on the Curl Up and Dye team. While the salon continues to grow, she keeps the brand deeply grounded in its founding value: unconditional love, complete honesty, and dedicated care for every single person who steps into our studio.
